Finn Harps defender Ethan Boyle has been nominated for the Airtricity Player of the Month for June.
Boyle scored a last minute equaliser as Harps came back from 2-0 down in the 87th minute to draw 2-2 at Finn Park against St. Patrick’s Athletic.
Boyle is in his 4th season at Finn Park, and his second season of his second spell at the club, having moved to Shamrock Rovers then playing for Linfield in the Northern Irish Premier Division.
Other nominees are Shamrock Rovers duo Rory Gaffney and Dylan Watts, while Paddy Kirk from Sligo Rovers and Dundalk centre back Mark Connolly are also nominated, along with David Harrington of Cork City, the First Division league leaders goalkeeper.
Boyle was suspended for the most recent game, a 1-0 loss to league leaders Shamrock Rovers courtesy of a Gaffney strike, but he will return tonight as Finn Harps travel to Shelbourne.
Ollie Horgan’s side have beat Shelbourne in both meetings this season, first a 3-0 win at Tolka Park, with Boyle getting the opener.
Eric McWoods and Conor Tourish both scored their first goals of the season in that game, which was the Donegal clubs first win of the season.
At Finn Park, a late Barry McNamee strike saw Finn Harps run out 1-0 winners in April.
