Ann Marie McGlynn put on yet another outstanding performance on Saturday as she was the first woman home in the Roscommon 10 Mile Race.
Not only was the Letterkenny AC athlete the winner of the women’s race in a phenomenal time of 55.22, but she also set a new course record.
Ann Marie finished 9th overall and put a gap of 80 seconds between the very highly rated, Michelle Finn (Leevale AC), and herself.
McGlynn has been in great form in the past few months, setting a new PB in the 5,000m with a 15:46.08 in Belfast.
She was also the leading Irish finisher in a season’s best 33:31.73 as she finished 25th at the European 10,000m Cup in France.
Fellow LAC runner, Conor Gallagher, also had an excellent run as he was 14th in a time of 57.43.
The overall race winner was William Maunsell, Clonmel AC, in a rapid time of 50.34.
