Finn Harps welcome league leaders Shamrock Rovers to Finn Park tomorrow night with Ollie Horgan expecting another tough battle against the Champions.
The Harps have had two games this season against Rovers, with both ending in defeats, conceding three goals.
Conor Tourish scored at Tallaght Stadium as Harps lost 3-1 but a Mark Anthony McGinley red card saw Graham Burke make it 3-0 at Finn Park in the home game.
And Horgan knows how tough a test his side will have tomorrow.
Horgan told FinnHarps.ie: “We know well the battle we have on our hands. We’ve conceded six goals over the two games we’ve played with Shamrock Rovers this season which tells you all you need to know about their quality and the task ahead of us.
“We just have to hope we’re spurred on by the final ten minutes or so from Friday night and that we might catch them on an off night.
After his side came from 2-0 down at home to St. Patrick’s Athletic on Friday, with both goals coming after the 87th minute thanks to José Carrillo and Ethan Boyle, it gave fans a buzz leaving the stadium.
And Horgan believes his side will need them again tomorrow night.
“Our supporters have been absolutely top class and we’ll need their backing once again. They stuck with us last time out despite us being two goals down and we may well find ourselves behind again on Friday night but hopefully that won’t be the case and we can keep things tight to give us a chance late on.”
