A local animal charity has confirmed it is full to capacity after a very busy weekend.
Animals in Need Donegal said Saturday was ‘the straw that broke the camel’s back’ for their organisation.
“In total we had enquiries to take in 31 kittens/ cats from various different situations,” they posted on their Facebook page.
These included ‘Storm’, found in a bad condition on the roadside, to someone moving house and needing their cat rehomed.
“We are a volunteer-run local rescue with only a small number of volunteers and we are now full.
“Sadly we have several sick/ injured cats who all need longer care than usual so bear with us.”
