Tír Chonaill AC athlete qualifies for European U18 Championships

Fintan Dewhirst will compete at the European Under-18 Athletic Championships in Jerusalem next month.

The Tír Chonaill AC athlete was a double gold medalist at the Ulster underage Championships last weekend at the Antrim Forum.

The St. Columba’s Comprehensive, Glenties student was first in the 110m hurdles and 400m hurdles, achieving a qualifying time for the Championships in the latter event with a time of 54.50s.

Dewhirst will travel to France to compete in the Under-18 International meet this weekend in Franconville, Paris.
