Donegal is set for a rainy and blustery weekend, as the end of Storm Alex hits the country.
Many showers will turn heavy today, with a chance of isolated thunderstorms. Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees, with winds being very strong towards the northwest coast.
Showers will continue overnight, with clear spells developing too. Temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees to be expected.
Saturday will bring further widespread showers or longer spells of rain with sunny spells too.
The odd heavy downpour can be expected. It will be windy again, with fresh or strong southwest winds veering westerly.

It will become drier on Saturday night, with clear spells and isolated showers, winds easing to a light or moderate breeze and lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees.
Showers will be lighter on Sunday and more scattered than previous days, with dry and bright or sunny spells in between.
