The MacGill Summer School is returning to Glenties as an in-person event this July.
Following two years of virtual seminars, the gathering is back from July 21st-24th, at The Highlands Hotel.
The annual event brings ‘thought leaders’ together for fora on the pressing issues of today. Politicians, academics, and heads of business are among the regular speakers.
One topical theme of this year will be the tragic war in Ukraine, where panellists will discuss: Is Globalisation Dead?
A new partnership has also been announced for the 2022 MacGill Summer School. The gathering has been organised in association with the University of Notre Dames’ Clingen Family Centre for the Study of Modern Ireland. The Clingen Family Center is part of the largest Irish studies programme outside of Ireland for teaching and research—the University of Notre Dame’s Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies. The Center is dedicated to the study of Ireland, its place in the modern world, and the policies and forces at work in Ireland today.
