Donegal jockeys Dylan Browne McMonagle and Oisin Orr both recorded victories in recent days as they began June with success.
Letterkenny native Browne McMonagle was successful yesterday in Leopardstown in the apprentice handicap race, the penultimate race of the meeting.
On board the Joseph O’Brien trained Startedwithakiss in the 1mile 5furlong race, the duo stayed in touch with long term leader Dollar Value, before heading to the front two furlongs out.
The Letterkenny man cleverly went clear of the pack and gave everyone else too much to do as he eased down the 5/2 joint favourite Startedwithakiss coming to the line to win by nearly two lengths.
It’s two wins in a row for the duo after success in Roscommon last month, with trainer O’Brien seeing a lot of potential in the filly.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Oisin Orr began June with a winner in his first race of the month at the Ripon meet in Yorkshire.
Orr was on board the aptly named The Platinum Queen, who was on debut in the 5 furlong British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes.
Despite having a slow start, the Rathmullan man swiftly began to cut his way through the pack, leading as they headed into the last furlong, and held on to land the victory after being heavily backed into 10/3.
Orr is in action again today with a few booked rides at the Cazoo Derby Festival at Epsom Downs.
