Mona McSharry picked up a silver medal in the Women’s 200m Breaststroke final at the Barcelona Mare Nostrum Swim Tour yesterday.
The Marlin’s Swimming Club, Ballyshannon member was just 0.11 seconds behind the UK’s Molly Renshaw. Sophie Hansson of Sweden was third.
The Grange, Co. Sligo native continues her form from the end of 2021, as she won bronze in the Women’s 100m Breaststroke at the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi.
McSharry also set new Irish records six times at these championships.
