One of Donegal’s most famous shops welcomed a very famous visitor when Liam Neeson stopped by this week.
The Northern Irish actor, who is filming a new movie in Donegal, called into Magee of Donegal yesterday for a browse around their luxury tweed store.
Staff were delighted to show the ‘Taken’ star around the shop and spin a few yarns about the brand’s heritage.
Neeson met with store manager Stephen Harron and his team, as well as Patrick Temple, CEO of Magee Weaving and part of the 5th generation at the helm of the Magee 1866 family business.
To mark his stay in the locality, Mr Neeson was gifted a Magee 1866 Made to Measure jacket, crafted in Donegal Tweed designed and woven at the Magee mill in Donegal town.

“Thanks for stopping by!,” the Magee team wrote to Neeson on Facebook after his visit.
Oscar-nominated actor Neeson has been spotted all around south Donegal in recent weeks during his free time away from the set of ‘In the Land of Saints and Sinners’. Magee isn’t the first heritage clothing store he’s visited either, as the team at Rossan Knitwear at the Glencolmcille Woollen Mill were delighted to welcome Neeson on a shopping visit earlier this month.
