A young Donegal woman who tragically died following a road crash will be laid to rest this weekend.
Charlotte Kelly, aged 17, from Kilmacrennan, was seriously injured in a one-vehicle collision near Glen on the Sunday of the May Bank Holiday weekend.
She succumbed to her injuries on Monday evening in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.
Ms Kelly is the fourth person to die on Donegal’s roads this year.
Her heartbroken family, friends and partner have paid tribute to her as a “beautiful girl” and a “guardian angel”.
She is being remembered as a “lovely young lady” who was “always smiling”.
“Heaven sure has gained an angel,” said another tribute.
Charlotte’s Funeral will take place at St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny, on Saturday 14th May at 4.30pm. Burial afterwards in New Leck Cemetery.
