Declan Bonner knows the danger Cavan possess and believes they must play to a high level if they want to make it into the Final of the Ulster Championship.
Bonner reflected on the win against Armagh, but it’s all eyes on the Cavan game now on Sunday.
He said: “We got the result on the day and we got back to work fairly early, it’s a short turnaround in two weeks, we’re looking forward to the big challenge.
“Cavan are really strong, passionate and traditional football county, they love their GAA down there, they’ve built a bit of momentum winning the Division 4 title against Tipperary. They really dismantled a decent Antrim team in the first round two weeks ago.”
He added: “We know what they’re going to bring to the table and we’ve got to be at it.
“Any day you come to a championship game and you’re not at the levels, you’ll come unstuck and we’ve got to be at those levels next Sunday.
“They’re a fairly big physical and mobile side, they’ve a fair mix of youth and experience.”
Bonner has an almost full strength squad to choose from, with Oisin Gallen being the only player missing for Donegal.
