The raffle takes place this Saturday 30th April, with just 250 entries being sold. The prizewinner will be invited to a 2 double room stay at the cosy cottage from Saturday, August 20th – Saturday, August 27th, or choose any other week where there is availability.
Catherine Gallagher’s beautiful hideaway was originally her ceramic workshop. She converted the cottage into a charming self-catering stay, keeping its original flagstone floors and features. The cottage opened as an Airbnb last year and the family has been welcoming visitors from near and far ever since.
The Artist’s Cottage, just 3km from Ardara town, is surrounded by trees and stone walls, nestled in the Cronkeerin hills. Guests can take relaxing country walks around the area, or take a short drive to the Maghera Caves or Narin-Portnoo beach. It’s also the perfect base for touring to Sliabh Liag and Donegal Town. The cottage suits families, hillwalkers, festival goers, or artists of any kind who want a quiet place to holiday, adventure, or be creative.
The cottage contains a fully equipped open plan kitchen, dining and living area with a stove and flag floor. The downstairs area also contains an accessible wet room and laundry space. Upstairs encompasses 2 charming bedrooms and a shower room.

All proceeds from the draw will support:
SBHI: The Donegal Branch for Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus was formed in 2010 due to local families finding a lack of support and information. The purpose of the national association is to provide information, advice and support to people with Spina Bifida and or Hydrocephalus their parents and carers, as well as to promote social inclusion and equality for people with these conditions in our society. The group is made up of families and carers supporting one another through life’s journey.
NO BARRIERS FOUNDATION: The No Barriers Foundation operates an inclusive health facility in Letterkenny and is equipped with specialist neurological equipment allowing anyone with a disability to exercise and improve their current level of physical and mental health, regardless of their current baseline. No Barriers are a highly innovative social enterprise, thanks in large part to their use of an Ekso Bionics Robotic Exoskeleton – the only suit of its kind in the North West for revolutionary rehabilitation.
DONEGAL DIABETES PARENT SUPPORT GROUP: Donegal Diabetes Parents Group is dedicated to helping families of children with Diabetes. They achieve this by providing support, education and motivation.
