Donegal hurling manager Mickey McCann believes Donegal were the better team today in their Nickey Rackard draw with Roscommon at O’Donnell Park.
Donegal had a five point lead with fifteen minutes to go but Roscommon came back but team captain Ronan McDermott earned Donegal a deserved draw when he pounced to hammer to the net on a final scoreline of 1-22 to 3-16.
McCann said: “I wouldn’t have been happy (with the draw) after 58 minutes, we were comfortable and had a chance to go six up but there was a big swing in the game.”
Overall I feel we were probably the better team over the 70 minutes that wee spell when they got their first goal it was really back to the wall stuff.”
