A man in his 20s has been killed following a crash near Rossnowlagh.
The motorcyclist died after a collision with a car around 5pm yesterday (Monday).
The victim, who has not yet been named, received medical treatment from first responders but died at the scene a short time later.
The young man is the second person to be killed on Donegal’s roads this year.
The occupants of the car were not injured in the collision.
The body of the deceased has been removed to Sligo University Hospital, where a postmortem will take place.
Local coroner Dr Denis McCauley has also been notified of the incident and arrangements are being made to hold a post mortem.
The road where the crash took place will remain closed off overnight, with local traffic diversions in place.
It is expected Garda forensic collision investigators will inspect the site of the crash on Tuesday morning, to try to identify what may have led to the collision.
Garda have appealed for any witnesses to the collision to come forward, as well as anyone who may have camera or dashcam footage of the incident.
