Finn Harps finished with nine men but a Mark Timlin equaliser in stoppage time saw them come away from Dalymount Park with a 2-2 draw with Bohemians.
Harps saw their first red after just seven minutes when Eric McWoods was given a straight red for a clash with Tyreke Wilson but a Filip Mihaljević penalty gave the visitors the lead.
Ollie Horgans side kept it tight until half-time, despite losing captain David Webster to injury, but Bohemians began to dominate in the second half.
A Dawson Devoy penalty and an Ali Coote volley after a corner had Bohs ahead before the hour mark.
Bohs looked to add to their lead as Harps failed to create but the game looked like finishing 2-1.
It would go from bad to worse for Harps as Ryan Rainey got a second yellow just in the first minute of four added on but Harps didn’t give up there.
Horgan’s three substitutes Bastien Héry, Yoyo Mahdy and Mark Timlin combined and Timlin’s shot went into the far corner of the net to send the away fans wild in the last minute of added time.
Bohemians had a shaky start to the season but had picked up four points in their last two games away to Sligo Rovers and Drogheda United with a win and draw respectively.
Harps were looking to close the gap on the teams above them as they occupied the relegation play-off spot.
Harps had what would have been the worst start imaginable as they went down to 10 men just seven minutes in as Eric McWoods was shown a red card.
A long ball by Mark Anthony McGinley was contested by McWoods and Tyreke Wilson and as McWoods looked to get pulled back, he turned and pushed the Bohemians defender near the face, with the referee Sean Grant judging it to be dangerous and gave the American a straight red card.
Harps had their backs to the wall from this moment on but limited Bohemians to very few chances, as Junior fired wide of the left post while Wilson had a shot easily saved by McGinley, and Liam Burt picked the ball up in the box and fired just wide of the right hand post.
A minute later Mihaljević picked up the ball and his touch let him down but he pressed well and nipped in to the ball before Rory Feely and the Bohs man clipped Mihaljević, leaving Grant no choice but to point to the spot.
The Croatian striker stepped up and coolly stuttered before placing the ball straight down the middle as he watched James Talbot dive to his right. 1-0 after 20 minutes.
Harps then suffered a blow five minutes later as their captain David Webster was stretchered off.
Harps almost went 2-0 up on the half hour mark as Ryan Rainey had a shot from a corner saved well by Talbot and Ethan Boyle couldn’t do anything with the rebound. Bohs then counter attacked and Rainey was booked for attempting to stop the break.
Ali Coote and Liam Burt looked dangerous with the ball at their feet in the box but Harps defended well to go into half-time 1-0 up.
Bohs almost equalised 15 seconds after the restart but Junior scuffed his shot while Harps were under pressure.
Bohs kept pressing and got their reward as José Carrillo tripped Junior in the box. Dawson Devoy stepped up and sent McGinley the wrong way
The ball fell to Ali Coote from the corner and he smashed a right footed volley past McGinley.
With 15 minutes to go, Bohs looked to have made it 3-1 when substitute Kris Twardek found Promise Omochere in the box and the striker hit a shot on the turn towards the corner but McGinley reacted well to save it on to the post.
Harps found it difficult to create as Bohs looked comfortable with the man advantage but Omochere couldn’t convert from dangerous attacks. Omochere then found Jordan Flores but his shot went just wide.
Harps made a triple substitution as they looked for an equaliser in the last ten minutes and it looked like it would come to no avail, but it would be three of the substitutes that would link for the goal in one of Harps’ only chances of the second half in added time.
Harps would first see themselves go down to nine men as Ryan Rainey picked up a second yellow in added time for a foul on Stephen Mallon.
The nine men would however salvage a draw out of the game as three substitutes linked up. Bastien Héry found Yoyo Mahdy who turned and poked the ball into Mark Timlin into the box and he finished past James Talbot into the bottom corner in the 94th minute.
