The people of Glenswilly, Tullygay, Bomany, Conwal, Newmills and surrounding areas will be giving their communities a great spring clean tomorrow, Saturday.
The annual community clean up kicks off from 10.30am, with local volunteers working together to gather litter and get their area looking clean and green for all to enjoy.
Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly is looking forward to supporting volunteers and making the day a big success.
He said: “This will be the first year since Covid that the community has the opportunity to come together and have a bit of fun and laughter, which is much deserved after the few tough years we had. I am really looking forward to meeting all tomorrow.
“I’d recommend that everyone stick to their own areas that way no areas will go untouched.
“I will be at Glenswilly GAA Grounds from 10am tomorrow morning for anyone needing bags, litter pickers, or gloves.
“I’d ask that anyone that has litter pickers and Hi Vis vests from previous years bring them along with them as pickers and vests are limited.”
