Dylan Browne McMonagle enjoyed success at Gowran Park yesterday with a win on 11/2 shot Vischio.
The Letterkenny man won the 1 mile 5 and a half furlong race by two lengths from fellow Donegal jockey Luke McAteer.
Dylan tracked McAteer and fellow 11/2 shot Scalor for the majority of the race as the two Donegal men were almost always first and second but the winning pair of Browne McMonagle and Vischio raced to the front two furlongs out and weren’t to be caught.
Browne McMonagle won the handicap race for local Gowran trainer Dick Donohoe.
It’s a fourth win of the year for the young jockey, who will be hoping to kick on from his success in 2021, when he won the Emerging Talent Award and the Apprentice Jockey Championship crown for 2021.
