Watch: ‘We had a successful league and now we have to build’ – Mickey McCann

Mickey McCann was disappointed after his Donegal side lost to Sligo in the league semi-final, despite having a 5 point lead with 15 minutes to go.

A late Andy Kilcullen goal gave Sligo the momentum and they pressed on to win 1-20 to 1-19.

Despite this, McCann knows his side outperformed their expectations in the league by making the semi-finals, while the Nicky Rackard Cup is now the full focus.

Declan Coulter, Ritchie Ryan and Jack O’Loughlin are all on the return to fitness so there are positives for McCann’s side who will face Fermanagh in two weeks time in the first game of the Nicky Rackard Cup.
