Triathlon is one of the fastest growing sports in Ireland and one that is suitable for all ages and abilities. There are so many reasons why you should Tri in 2022, and now is your chance.
Letterkenny 24/7 Triathlon Club is delighted to host their annual Try-A-Tri and Super Sprint events on Sunday 1st May at Aura Leisure Centre, Letterkenny, starting at 10:00am.
Anyone can do a triathlon. If you’re in search of fitness or looking for a rewarding challenge, Triathlon is for you. The events will be open to all and those of different skill levels will be catered for.
Try-a-Tri is aimed at beginners and is a pool-based race taking place on the flattest course of any race in Donegal. The race includes a 200m pool swim (8 lengths), 13km cycle (towards Newmills and back) and flat run (3.2km). Super Sprint, involves a slightly longer swim (400m), so perfect for anyone who has already had some experience in the pool.
The emphasis here is on fun and inclusiveness, allowing anyone who wishes to dip their toes into the world of triathlon, a fantastic opportunity to do so in a welcoming, safe, and controlled environment. Truly a beginners event.
This event has proven hugely popular in previous years, and is guaranteed to sell out quickly, so don’t delay, book your entry today through the Triathlon Ireland Website or check us out on Facebook
