Mark Coyle opened his account with Shelbourne after scoring in their 2-0 win over Drogheda United.
The Burt man was one of three players who scored in the Premier Division last night that played with Finn Harps last season.
His teammate, Dan Hawkins, who scored once for Harps last season, opened the scoring at United Park before Coyle solidified the three points in injury time as Shels countered.
It was Coyle’s first goal in almost three years when he scored in the League Cup for Harps against Sligo in April 2019.
Tunde Owolabi made his league debut for St. Patrick’s Athletic last night off the bench and it took him just 12 minutes to get his first goal but his side still lost 2-1 to Sligo Rovers at Richmond Park.
Meanwhile, Bohemians and Dundalk drew 2-2 at Dalymount Park and a last minute Jamie McGonigle goal gave Derry City a 2-1 win over Shamrock Rovers.
