Donegal Town’s St. Patrick’s Day parade will return following a meeting last night after the parade was initially cancelled last week due to a lack of interest.
Organisers were forced to put the parade on hold for 2022 after just six people attended a planning meeting last week. Three of the attendees were said to be from the same family.
However, Donegal Town’s Mayor Pauric Kennedy has announced that the 2022 St. Patrick’s Day Parade will proceed after a great turn out and show of support at yesterday’s public meeting in the Central Hotel.
There were over 30 people at the meeting who were willing to doing whatever it takes to keep the parade alive.
The parade will take place at 3pm on March 17th.
