Paediatric First Aid
Paediatric first aid will take place on the 15th and 22nd of March from 6pm-9:30pm.
The cost is €20.00. This programme is part funded by Donegal ETB community education programme.

Mindful Meditation with Owen Donnelly
Delighted to say Owen Donnelly continues with his Mindful Meditation Class on Monday nights at 6pm via Zoom.
Mindfulness is one strategy that can reduce stress and anxiety.
Mindfulness is a way of being. Practicing mindfulness means paying attention to what’s happening in the moment and accepting those experiences and feelings without judgement.

Intermediate Zoom Art
Every Thursday from the 20th January 2022 (6 weeks) from 11AM to 1PM via Zoom with local artist Celine Mc Glynn.

CE Youth Support Worker Position
CE Youth Support Worker position has become available at Raphoe Family Resource Centre. General eligibility is 21 years old and 1 year unemployed.
Applicants must be eligible – contact your local Intreo office to confirm.

Alone
ALONE is an organisation that enables older people to age at home.
I recruit, train and support Volunteers for our Telephone Support and the Visitation and Befriending Service, which is where a volunteer gives an hour a week of their time to provide companionship to an Older Person either in person, or over the phone.
We currently have many older people across Donegal in need of our services.
Would you be willing to provide companionship or be able to make calls to Older People once a week?
ALONE are seeking volunteers all over Donegal.

Raphoe Boxing Club
The boxers and officials at the Raphoe Boxing club would like to tender a very sincere thanks to the hard working ladies at the Raphoe Family Resource Centre Melanie, Marie and Laura for all the excellent work they do behind the scenes.
It is greatly appreciated by all at the club.
The Donegal Novice and Open championships will take place on Saturday 12th of February and Sunday the 13th of February in the Clonmany C.C and the Raphoe club will have 14 boxers entered in these championships.
Good luck to all the boxers and their coaches Gary Mc Cullagh and Gerard Keaveney.
Raphoe Walking Group
Raphoe Walking Group meets every Thursday morning at 10.30am, here in the FRC. Come along and join the group for a walk and a cuppa!!

Family Support
As a parent or guardian, parenting is one of the most rewarding things you will ever do, however the Family Resource Centre recognises at times life throws up challenges and these can be overwhelming.
Some examples of the support we can offer; making routines, establishing boundaries and dealing with challenging behaviours
The Family Resource Centre can help through listening ear, parenting programmes, one to one support, and a drop in clinic to offer support on issues that are affecting home life.
We also provide sign posting or referrals to other services. For any further information please call Laura our family support community development worker on 08733350658.
Seniors Alert Scheme
Raphoe Family Resource Centre is registered under Pobal’s Senior Alert Scheme to provide personal alarms to those over 65 years living alone for significant periods of time during the day, or is a carer to someone else in their household.
The purpose of the scheme is to enable older persons of limited means to continue to live securely in their own homes with confidence, independence and peace of mind providing them with a free personal monitored alarm which can be worn as a pendant or around their wrist like a watch.

Helping Hands Scheme
Do you live alone or are no longer in a position, due to age or disability, to carry out odd jobs?
Raphoe Family Resource Centre, supported by DLDC Tus Scheme, has a helping hands project where odd jobs can be carried out such as grass cutting, path clearing, tidy ups, painting etc.
Only outdoor work is permitted.
