Donegal’s Covid-19 rate remains the lowest in the country, new data reveals.

With 497 new cases confirmed in the county last week, the 7-day incidence rate has fallen to 312.2 per 100,000.

The rate is now less than half the national average of 761.3 per 100,000. It is also a significant drop on the 1647.1 per 100,000 rate recorded in Donegal the previous week.

The latest Health Protection Surveillance Centre report for the week of 30th January to 5th February shows that 36,253 new cases were confirmed nationwide. The median age of people who contracted Covid-19 was 36, with the ages ranging from 0 to 102 years.
