There is a snow/ice warning for Donegal coming into effect this evening as temperatures in some areas of the county dip to freezing.
Met Eireann has issued a status yellow weather alert (Snow) for Donegal, valid from 5pm on Wednesday 9th February until 11am on Thursday 10th February.
The alert from Met Eireann warns of wintry showers and icy conditions.
Donegal County Council has announced that gritters will be out on all routes from 6pm. The Donegal gritting route index as follows:
