LYIT Hurlers lost out to University of Ulster Coleraine 5-6 to 0-17 yesterday evening in the Fergal Maher Championship at the Donegal GAA Centre.

Early goals from UU set the tone as LYIT were always on the comeback trail.

Liam Eoin Campbell scored 11 points as the Donegal side dominated their opponents on scores, but the vital scores came as goals as UU Coleraine scored 5 while LYIT couldn’t get the sliotar in the back of the net.

Stand-in keeper Oisin Marley pulled off some fine save to keep LYIT in the game but ultimately it wasn’t enough.
