ANOTHER 9,365 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by Irish health officials today.
The figure includes 3,780 PCR-confirmed cases, as well as 5,585 positive antigen tests registered through the HSE portal.
The Department of Health says that there are now 646 Covid-19 patients in hospitals (up three from yesterday), of whom 72 are in ICU (down four from yesterday).
The number of Covid-19 patients in Letterkenny University Hospital has increased to 16 – up one from Sunday.
As of 8pm last night, the hospital recorded 16 patients with Covid-19, including one patient with the virus in ICU.
Meanwhile, the HSE has announced today that the Sligo COVID-19 Community Test Centre is moving to a new premises.
The testing centre which had up to now been located in Finisklin will be moving to the Cleveragh Road on Friday February 11th. The test centre will operate in Finisklin until lunchtime on Thursday February 10th.
The new clinic will be run out of the old Sligo Development centre (also referred to locally as ‘the old tax office’) on Cleveragh Road, behind McCranns Londis.
