Mickey McCann spoke after his Donegal hurlers won their first game of the Allianz Hurling League Division 2B.

Donegal scored 3-16 to 0-08, with Richie Ryan, Josh Cronnolly McGee and Davin Flynn scoring 3-15.

McCann praised his free scoring full forward line and the team in general as they started on the right foot in their campaign.

The team face Sligo next and McCann hopes to build on today’s win but knows it will be a tough task in Markievicz Park.

He also believes next weekends game will give them a better insight on whether they can aim to compete near the top of the table and reach the play-offs.
