Tributes have been paid to one of Donegal’s leading detectives who retired form the force on Friday.
Detective Garda John Gallagher has worked on Donegal’s most high-profile cases.
Current and former colleagues paid tribute to John as he completed his final day at Unit in Milford Garda station.
A Garda spokesperson said A wealth of knowledge and experience left the building on Detective Garda John Gallagher’s last day on the job.
“Good luck and thanks for everything over the years John from all of us.”
John’s retirement means he will now have more time for his family and hobbies.
Not least of all his beloved MacCumhaills GAA Club!
