A Donegal County Councillor has called for greater investment to repair ongoing water issues in the Raymoghy and Corkey areas of Manorcunningham.
Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly has been in contact with Irish Water after an outage on Sunday, which is continuing into today.
“The water issue is to be fixed today but for me, a temporary fix is not good enough,” said Cllr Kelly.
“I have a query forward for next week’s Municipal District meeting seeking an update on when these pipes will be replaced and a secure job completed.
“I will also be calling for a face to face meeting with Irish Water at our MD meeting next week because these issues are going on too long and the residents are furious and I don’t blame them.”
Irish Water said investigation works are underway into supply disruptions affecting Aughlihard and surrounding areas.
