Arts & Crafts (adults)
Starting Wednesday 16th February from 7-9PM in the Family Resource Centre.
Join us for a paper craft course where we will learn the art of quilling to create quilled pictures, quilled cards and paper decorations.
Cost is €10 and places are limited.

Parental workshops – Positive Behaviour & Toilet Training via zoom
Delighted to offer parents of children aged 2-6 years two parental workshops delivered by #Onlineworkshopsbyemma. Places are free but limited.
Positive behaviour
Wednesday 9th Feb 22 from 7.30PM – 9PM via zoom. Cost is free, suitable for parents of children age 2 – 6 years.
Topics include: Understanding why children misbehave, power of praise, appropriate expectations, behaviours to ignore/not ignore, managing tantrums, top tips and strategies to help encourage positive behaviour.
Toilet Training
Wednesday 16th February 22 from 7.30 – 9PM via zoom. Cost is free

Community Garda Drop in clinic
The community Garda Drop in clinic taking place in the Family Resource Centre on Tuesday the 1st of February from 6pm to 7pm. If you need forms/passports signed/stamped or information and guidance feel free to call in. No appointment needed.
Mindful Meditation with Owen Donnelly
Delighted to say Owen Donnelly continues with his Mindful Meditation Class on Monday nights at 6pm via Zoom.
Mindfulness is one strategy that can reduce stress and anxiety.
Mindfulness is a way of being. Practicing mindfulness means paying attention to what’s happening in the moment and accepting those experiences and feelings without judgement.

Intermediate Zoom Art
Every Thursday from the 20th January 2022 (6 weeks) from 11AM to 1PM via Zoom with local artist Celine Mc Glynn.

CE Youth Support Worker Position
CE Youth Support Worker position has become available at Raphoe Family Resource Centre.
General eligibility is 21 years old and 1 year unemployed. Applicants must be eligible – contact your local Intreo office to confirm.

ALONE
ALONE is an organisation that enables older people to age at home.
I recruit, train and support Volunteers for our Telephone Support and the Visitation and Befriending Service, which is where a volunteer gives an hour a week of their time to provide companionship to an Older Person either in person, or over the phone.
We currently have many older people across Donegal in need of our services.
Would you be willing to provide companionship or be able to make calls to Older People once a week?
ALONE are seeking volunteers all over Donegal. Full training and support provided.

Raphoe Boxing Club
The Donegal open and novice championships will be staged in the Clonmany C.C on Saturday the 12th of February and Sunday the 13th of February.
The local boxing club will have no fewer than 12 boxers entered for these championships.
Once again the officers of the club would like to tender a very thanks to all the generous business people of Raphoe and surrounding areas for their continued support towards our annual sponsorship.
Your support is always greatly appreciated by all at the club as you are the people that have kept the doors open and the lights on at the boxing club for the past 33 years.
Raphoe Walking Group
Raphoe Walking Group meet every Thursday morning at 10.30am, here in the FRC. Come along and join the group for a walk and a cuppa!!

Family Support
As a parent or guardian, parenting is one of the most rewarding things you will ever do, however the Family Resource Centre recognises at times life throws up challenges and these can be overwhelming.
Some examples of the support we can offer; making routines, establishing boundaries and dealing with challenging behaviours
The Family Resource Centre can help through listening ear, parenting programmes, one to one support, and a drop in clinic to offer support on issues that are affecting home life.

Seniors Alert Scheme
Raphoe Family Resource Centre is registered under Pobal’s Senior Alert Scheme to provide personal alarms to those over 65 years living alone for significant periods of time during the day, or is a carer to someone else in their household.
The purpose of the scheme is to enable older persons of limited means to continue to live securely in their own homes with confidence, independence and peace of mind providing them with a free personal monitored alarm which can be worn as a pendant or around their wrist like a watch.

Helping Hands Scheme
Do you live alone or are no longer in a position, due to age or disability, to carry out odd jobs?
Raphoe Family Resource Centre, supported by DLDC Tus Scheme have a helping hands project were odd jobs can be carried out such as grass cutting, path clearing, tidy ups, painting etc.
