ANOTHER 9,218 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by Irish health officials today.
The figure includes 4,006 PCR-confirmed cases, as well as 5,212 positive antigen tests registered through the HSE portal.
The Department of Health says that there are now 824 Covid-19 patients in hospitals, of whom 79 are in ICU.
The number of Covid-19 patients in Letterkenny University Hospital has decreased significantly.
As of 8pm last night, the hospital recorded 24 patients with Covid-19, including one patient with the virus in ICU.
The figure is down from 31 the previous day, and down 50% on last Monday’s figure of 49.
