The Lifford-Stranorlar area is set to benefit greatly from funding announced today for Active Travel projects.
More than €736,000 from the total €5.5million fund for Donegal will go to projects in the Finn Valley.
Cllr Patrick McGowan has welcomed the news and outlined how the money will be spent:
“Projects such as Sessiagh O’Neill bridge and Milltown bridge along with a footpath improvement from Millbrae Stranorlar at McClay’s Corner to the new St Mary’s school which is due for opening over the next few months are just some of the important projects we have been pushing hard for over the last few years.
“I want to thank Council staff and of course our local minister Charlie McConalogue and his colleagues for delivering this funding.”
