A speed survey is to be carried out on the College Farm Road in Letterkenny amid calls for extra measures to slow traffic down.
Mayor of Letterkenny-Milford Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh raised residents’ concerns with the municipal district roads section last week. College Farm Road is in a residential area and leads to St. Bernadette’s Special School.
Cllr Kavanagh said: “The residents are asking for ramps, whether that is suitable or not, but I would ask that the council engineers look and and see what would be suitable traffic calming measures on the road.”
The local authority is now set to arrange for a Speed Survey to be carried out on the road to establish the extent of the speeding issue.
