Donegal has it all… and now we can proudly boast having the sexiest accent in all of Ireland.
It’s not the first time the county has won this title, but it’s always music to our ears – just like the lilts of the locals.
A pre-Valentine’s survey by Jury’s Inn found that 37% of participants said the north west accent was best.
Some of the findings were said to be inspired by the softly-spoken singer Daniel O’Donnell.
Cork came in at second place, with Dublin residents placing third on the list.
Suzanne Cannon, Head of Marketing at Jurys Inn, said: “Valentine’s Day has become a fun day for all to pamper people they love, whether it’s a romantic, familial or platonic relationship. While our research has some playful findings, it also shows that the Irish have a lot to give!”.
