Gardai are investigating a major theft from a seafood producer in Bruckless.
Up to 35 mussel floats were stolen from Darney at Bruckless Pier over the Christmas period.
Gardai say a truck would have been needed to transport the floats from the scene.
They cannot put a price on the items stolen but it is “considerable.”
Garda Grainne Doherty said “The owner has suffered a substantial loss as a result of this theft.
“A lorry or truck would have to have bene used to transport the floats and they would have been there a considerable amount of time removing them.”
The theft of the floats took place between December 18th and January 5th.
Gardai have appealed for anybody who was in the area on any of these days and may have spotted anybody acting suspiciously to contact them at Ballyshannon Garda Station.
