A new weather warning for ice and snow for Donegal has been issued by the county council.
It follows a text alert from Met Eireann.
The warnings comes into affect from Thursday night until Friday morning.
The moderate weather warning states “Scattered showers of hail, sleet and snow, and icy stretches, Thursday evening, Thursday night and Friday morning, will lead to hazardous travelling conditions in some parts.
“Showers will be most widespread in the west and north of the country where some accumulations are likely. Isolated thunderstorms will occur also.”
The warning begins at 4pm on Thursday and will last until 11am on Friday.
