The GoFundMe campaign for Adam McCaffrey has already hit the €30,000 mark, two days after it was launched.
The young Harps player suffered a serious head injury while playing for his Finn Harps under-21 side last Sunday.
The Keadue man was rushed to hospital and then transferred to Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital for treatment.
Finn Harps issued a statement earlier in the week asking people to keep Adam in their prayers.
Now, the parents of his Finn Harps team have come together to set up a Go Fund Me page to help support Adam and his family through this very challenging time.
While they have raised €30,000 in just two days, they have stressed there is a long road ahead.
