A Co Donegal school has moved one step closer to getting its new extension.
Castletown National School’s extension project has received approval to proceed to construction under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme.
Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine and Donegal T.D., Charlie McConalogue, confirmed he move today.
The St Johnston school project will consist of one new classroom and one new SET room and will benefit boost the school and the greater school community who depend upon the school.
The Minister said “The progression of this project is good news for the St Johnston community and for the staff, students, and parents of the school.
“I thank Minister Norma Foley for confirming the news and for the work of the principal, the staff, students and parents of the school for progressing the project.
“The work the school does is very important and it is crucial that it is supported in its expansion efforts. I thank Cllrs Crawford and McGowan for their work with the school community too.”
