A man arrested in relation to the investigation into the murder of Councillor Edward Fullerton has been released without charge.
The man was arrested 10am yesterday and was currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended, at Letterkenny Garda station.
Cllr Fullerton died following a Loyalist attack at his home in Buncrana, on Saturday 25th May, 1991.
Gardai say the 56 year old man was released without charge and a file on the matter is to be sent to the Director of pUblic Prosecutions.
