A select number of main roads across Donegal are to be gritted this evening as temperatures drop to freezing.
Donegal County Council has announced plans for gritting to begin from 8pm.
Met Eireann is forecasting a cold night for the north west, with temperatures reaching 0C.
The Ulster forecast says: “Mostly dry tonight with clear spells. Cloud will push in from the Atlantic later. Lowest temperatures of 0 to +4 degrees with a touch of frost in places. Some fog is likely in southern parts of the province. Southwest winds will freshen, becoming strong along coasts.”
The following routes will be gritted from 8PM on Mon. 13/12:
- 01: National Primary North
- 02: National Primary Central
- 03: National Primary South
- 04: Inishowen South
- 07: Milford South
- 08: Milford North
- 09: Cill Ulta East
- 12: Binswilly
- 13: Stranorlar North
- 14: Stranorlar East
- 15: Stranorlar West
- 16: Donegal West
- 17: Donegal North
- 18: Donegal South
- 19: Donegal National Secondary
- LT: Letterkenny Town
