More than €1,000 was raised for charity following a performance in Castlefin last month of the hilarious ‘Island Wake’ by Fergus Cleary.
The comedy, which has so far raised more than €50,000 for local charities, was held in St Mary’s Parochial Hall on November 10.
The event was organised by local woman, Mairead Monaghan, who will next year walk the Camino de Santiago, also in aid of the Diabetes Ireland charity.
Mairead is delighted to announce that she handed over a cheque to the organisation this week for a huge €1,060.
