Covid-19 rates in all local electoral areas of Donegal have fallen below the national average, new figures show.
Donegal recorded 1,752 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 14 days. The 14 day incidence rate, as of Monday, was 1,100.6 per 100,000 – while the national average was 1,355.1 per 100,000.
The incidence rates are varied across each of the seven local electoral areas of the county.
Four areas saw rising case numbers, with three recording lower rates, but all were below the 1,355.1 average.
The local electoral area with the highest rate is now Lifford-Stranorlar. The East Donegal area recorded 338 new cases of Covid-19 in the past fortnight.
The Milford area now has Donegal’s lowest rate, with 104 new cases in the past two weeks.
