Members of the Letterkenny Shotokan Karate Club took on a brrr-azen walk last week to raise hundreds of euro for the Letterkenny Food Bank.
The cold didn’t stop John Wilkie and his club members shedding the socks and walking around the Aura track last Saturday. Every chilly step was in aid of an important local cause – the We Care LK Food Bank.
A fantastic €400 was raised, which was used to buy a large supply of groceries for local people in need.
The LK food bank, situated at the Market Centre Market Square Letterkenny, is open 12-2pm Tuesdays and Fridays.
The Letterkenny Shotokan Karate Club has issued a big thank you to everyone for their donations and well done to all the karate kids who took part in the walk.
“It’s in the giving that you receive….so this Christmas, give something back,” says John Wilkie.
