Donegal has been upgraded to an Orange Weather wind warning from tonight with gusts of up to 130kph.
An alert message from Met Eireann comes into effect from 2am tomorrow morning for the entire county.
It warns of power outages and travel disruptions for the county.
Donegal is already feeling the force of Storm Barra.
But Donegal County Council has just issued the updated weather warning form Met Eireann.
It warns “Northwesterly winds will reach mean speeds of 65 to 80 km/h with severe or damaging gusts of 100 to 130 km/h, with localised stronger winds likely.
“Due to a combination of high waves, storm surge and high tide, coastal flooding is expected. Disruption to power and travel are likely.”
