(No Report Submitted)
Kildrum Tigers Reserves 3 v 4 Glenea United Reserves
Kildrum had an early chance in the first minute however Daniel Mc Nulty hit the crossbar. Kildrum went close again after 25 when Cronin almost got on the end of a through ball but it was well defended.
Michael Devine had a long range free well saved before Glenea broke up the field and shot just wide. Devine then shot wide in and end to end period of the game. Glenea then broke the Kildrum offside trap but shot wide. Glenea took the lead when a deep free kick took a deflection and crept in. Glenea got a second just on the break when Kildrum put through their own goal for a second time.
Kildrum got one back at the start of the second half when Justin McBride fired home from a corner. Cronin brought the sides level shortly afterwards with a tidy finish. Glenea sealed the points with two late goals when they broke the Tigers’ offside trap and finished well on both occasions.
Milford United Reserves 4 v 2 Fintown harps AFC
Milford got their first win of the season against a very spirited Fintown team in this bottom of the table
clash. Milford should have taken the lead but Lee Burke and Adam Bolton both missed gilt edged chances
when one on one with the keeper. Fintown found themselves ahead when Logan Quinn’s shot from inside
the box went through the defender’s past an unsighted Eoin Mc Gettigan in Milford goals. Milford got
going in the second half and from a Shane Black corner Ciaran Blaney was on hand to tap home a Shane
Mc Fadden knockdown. Milford went 2-1 up when halftime substitute Corey Mc Conigley Blaney calmly
slotted home to score his first goal in senior football. The lead didn’t last long though as Barry Mc Gonagle
headed home a free kick to make it 2-2. Shane Black scored the goal the game when lobbing the keeper
from 30 yards and Jason Mc Conigley adding a fourth to give Milford a much needed three points. Credit to
Fintown who played the whole game with ten men and Milford’s Shane Black who was man of the match.
Referee: Sean Ferry.
Oldtown Celtic 6 v 0 Arranmore United
The game got off to a fast start and Frankie Early saved well from Tommy Mc Laughlin and then saved a
Nelis penalty. Oldtown took the lead when Mc Laughlin flicked a Sean Cleary cross on to Gio Peoples who
headed home. Oldtown added a second when Cleary headed home from a corner and soon after they
added another when Peoples again headed home a Mc Laughlin flick. Oldtown went down to ten men but
managed to hold out until half time. Oldtown added two goals in two minutes early in the second half,
both from Shane Smith. Joe Mc Carron added a 6th with the goal of the game, skipping past three
challenges before lifting the ball home. Arranmore pushed hard to get a goal but Gibson in the Oldtown
goal made a fine stop near the end to keep a clean sheet.
Strand Rovers 3 v 0 Cappry Rovers Reserves
Stand took the lead in the seventh minute through Brendan Glackin after a nice a team move. Strand
increased the lead on twenty minutes from Shane O’ Donnell scored from forty yards into the right hand
corner. Strand scored a third goal a few minutes later though Jordon with another Jordon wonder goal
from 35 yards out. Strand had chances to increase the lead but the Cappry goalkeeper made some good
saves. Strand bossed the second half with some good changes but the Cappry goalkeeper made several
more good saves. Cappry had a penalty with fifteen minutes left but the penalty never tested Dean
Timoney in the Strand nets. Good team performance from Strand Rovers.
Old Orchard Saturday Division Two
Copany Rovers 6 v 2 Castlefin Celtic Reserves
Copany welcomed Castlefin Celtic to Killowen Park, with the home side full of confidence after a big away
win last time out. Copany started quickly with two goals for the prolific Glen Harron with two neat finishes
inside the first 10 minutes. The home side kept piling on the pressure and were rewarded with a third goal,
this time Glen Harron assisted for the lively Graham Harron who finished from 6 yards. The third goal
spurred Castlefin into life and they started to create a few chances of their own and pulled one back from a
fantastic free kick on 40 minutes. The home side regained their three-goal advantage just before half time
when some great skill from Graham Harron who crossed for Ethan Gallagher to head into the top right
corner, 4-1 to the home side at halftime. The second half started with some good counter attack football
from both sides but again it was Glen Harron causing the problems in the opposition box. He was brought
down for a penalty which he got up and rifled home into the bottom corner to make it 5-1. Castlefin then
scored a penalty to make it 5-2. The home side weren’t finished yet and right back Daniel Brogan, who had
a great game, made it 6-2. Great team performance with hat-trick hero Glen Harron and Captain Dale
Duncan the outstanding performers.
Cranford United Reserves 2 v 3 Ballybofey United Reserves
Ballybofey left Cranford Park with all three points from a game that Cranford will be very disappointed not
to have won. Ballybofey had the dream start and were one up within the first two minutes through Conor McGlynn. For the rest of the half Cranford had Ballybofey penned in but multiple chances came and went which they would regret
later in the game. Cranford came out for the second half on the front foot and we’re very unlucky not to
equalise when Paddy McGeever’s mazy run led to him beating three men and his strike was well saved by
the Ballybofey keeper. Cranford then fell asleep for five minutes and conceded two soft goals to find
themselves three down with ten minutes to go. Cranford battled hard in the last ten minutes and got two
goals from Paddy McGeever and Shane Coll but couldn’t find the equaliser.
Drumbar F.C. 4 v 1 St. Catherines Reserves
St Catherines were welcomed to Drumbar as Drumbar looked to extend an unbeaten run to four games.
After a slow start, it was Drumbar who opened the scoring after 26 minutes when Josh Mc Crea linked well
with his midfield to drive in a low cross which deflected off a St. Catherine's defender to give Drumbar a 1-
0 lead. Drumbar were two up on 37 minutes when Vinny Breslin earned and converted a penalty. St.
Catherines pulled one back just before half time when Calvin Mooney reacted quickest at the back post
from a St. Catherine's corner to make 2-1 at half time. Drumbar absorbed heavy second half pressure from
the Saints and soon went 3-1 ahead as Keelan Heeney was found through on goal to finish well on 55
minutes. Drumbar put the game beyond doubt when Josh Mc Crea’s in-swinging corner found the head of
Vinny Breslin at the front post for Vinny’s second to put Drumbar 4-1 ahead. A fantastic team performance
from Drumbar with Nathan Carr standing out with a solid performance in defence.
Drumoghill F.C. Reserves 1 v 2 Ramelton Mariners
Mariners settled quickly and had the better of the early exchanges. Drumoghill played their way into the
game and started to create chances with Shea Mc Daid and Gavin Johnstone going close. It was Mariners
who took the lead against the run of play however after they slotted home after a deflected clearance.
Drumoghill continued to push forward but couldn't find a finish with Jamie Foley having the best of the
chances. Drumoghill continued to push forward in the second half but could find no way through a
resolute Mariners’ defence. Mariners increased their lead midway through the half when Drumoghill failed
to deal with a through ball. Drumoghill continued to press and got back into the game when Odhran
Donnelly raced through to slot home. Drumoghill continued to push forward but Mariners held firm in a
frantic finish to take all three points. Referee: Zack Mc Laughlin.
Dunlewey Celtic 1 v 5 Gweedore Celtic Reserves
Dunlewey Celtic welcomed Gweedore Celtic for the first local derby of the season between these fierce
rivals. Both sides started the game well and created plenty of opportunities in the first 20 minutes and the
hosts took the lead when Eamonn Collum rounded the Gweedore keeper to slot home. Gweedore kept the
pressure on the Dunlewey backline and tested the keeper on a couple of occasions. Gweedore Celtic
levelled the score when they were awarded a penalty and Cathal Boyle stepped up to slot it home.
Gweedore Celtic then gained a foothold in the game and dominated for large parts and they took the lead
when Naoise O' Baoill put the ball into an empty net. Gweedore Celtic then doubled their lead with a very
well worked free kick on the left side and Johnny O' Donnell was on hand to double Gweedore Celtics lead
to 3-1 before half time. The second half began much the same and Dunlewey pushed to get back into the
game but could not pull a goal back. This left space for Gweedore to work the ball well and they struck on
the break when Cathal De Burca slotted the ball home after the ball rebounded to him off the Dunlewey
keeper. Gweedore rounded off their win with another goal from the penalty spot when Liam Wiggins
slotted the penalty past the Dunlewey keeper. Gweedore Celtic took the spoils in what was Dunlewey’s
first defeat of the league campaign.

Brian Mc Cormick Sports Premier Division
Convoy Arsenal 1 v 2 Cappry Rovers
Convoy played Cappry under lights on Saturday night and the first chance of the match fell to the visitors
with Aaron Kelly forcing a save from Lee Boyd in the Convoy nets. Cappry dominated possession and the
first chance for the home side came on 13 minutes with Eunan Kelly shooting straight at the Cappry
keeper. Cappry pressed for the opener with good work down the left wing by Dean O’ Donnell crossing to
Patrick McNulty who headed wide of the post. Arron Kelly had a shot from distance sail over the bar and
Convoy came close with John Moore whipping the ball in only for Eunan Kelly’s header being too close to
Conor McBride in the Cappry nets. Cappry took the lead on 43 minutes when a quick free kick split the
Convoy defence and the ball came to Trevor Gethins who shot low into the bottom corner. Cappry doubled
their advantage early in the second half with good work again on the wing by Dean O’ Donnell setting up
Aaron Kelly to score. Cappry kept pressing with shots from Brendan Mc Laughlin and Patrick McNulty and
Mc Laughlin’s corner kick came off the crossbar. Convoy pulled one back on 83 minutes with a free kick
into the box that fell to Stephen Doherty to score with his first touch of the match after coming off the
subs bench. This led to a frantic end to the match with Convoy looking for an equaliser but the Cappry
defence held out to the final whistle.
Donegal Town 2 v 1 Bonagee United
It was Bonagee who started the stronger and a cool finish by Aaron Wasson put them one up after 15
minutes. Donegal fought their way back and a great strike from Ronan Mc Hugh drew Town level. Bonagee
had some great chances before half time but Donegal defended well. A long clearance from Mulreany put
Ronan Mc Hugh through but he was fouled for a penalty which was cooled slotted home by Eoin Slevin on
stroke of half time. Bonagee never gave up and had plenty of chances in second half but couldn't get that
finish. Donegal also had chances. Great team effort by Bonagee and likewise Donegal Town with Ronan Mc
Hugh and keeper Mulreany to the fore. Referee: Paddy Martin.
Drumkeen United 1 v 3 Kilmacrennan Celtic
(No Report Submitted)
Keadue Rovers 4 v 0 Glenea United
Keadue Rovers had an important win over Glenea United at Central Park on Sunday to move out of the
bottom three. On a damp day for football, it was the home side who had the better of the opening
exchanges with Jack Doherty going close. Keadue got the lead their play deserved when, just after the half
hour, a well delivered free kick from the right evaded the home defence and Peter Mc Gee stole in to
score. Glenea responded well and had their best spell in the last fifteen minutes of the first half with a
good deal of possession but they didn't really stretch the Keadue defence. At the start of the second half it
was Keadue who re-imposed themselves on the game. They did up the tempo midway through the half
and they got in behind the Glenea defence with Oran Fallon to the fore and it was his good work and cross
which led to Jack Doherty steering in from close range to make it 2-0 on sixty-eight minutes. On seventy-
three minutes, it was game over as Oran Fallon produced the goal of the game with a mazy run, beating a
few defenders before striking home from 10 yards. The game's last goal came on seventy-six minutes when
Mark Forker chipped in a superb fourth over Joe Coll in the Glenea net. A few substitutions followed for
both sides but the game was over as a contest. An important three points for Keadue and a disappointing
result for Glenea and both teams are now level on points. A decent team performance for Glenea, while
for Keadue Oran Fallon, Mark Forker, Michael Greene and Jack Doherty excelled. Referee: Vincent Mc
Laughlin.
Kildrum Tigers 1 v 0 Castlefin Celtic
Kildrum welcomed league leaders Castlefin to Station Road and it was the home side who came away with
a vital win. In a very tense competitive game it always seemed that one goal would win it either way.
Castlefin had the better of the opening half and should’ve went ahead, Ian ward was played through on
goal by Sean Ferry and his effort just trickled past the post. Kildrum who were lucky to go into the break
level then took the lead midway through the second half when the ball broke to the in-form Daniel Clarke
who stroked home into the far corner. Both sides had strong penalty claims waved away in a game of few
chances.
Temple Domestic Appliances Division One
Ballybofey United 1 v 1 Swilly Rovers
Swilly Rovers took a fifth minute lead in this match when Damien Friel had the ball in the Ballybofey United
net. The home side were back on level terms by the half-hour mark courtesy of an own goal. Rovers had
shaded the opening period and would probably have deserved an interval lead but it wasn’t to be. The
second half was a different story however as United were on top throughout and were good value for a
share of the spoils after ninety minutes of what was an entertaining competitive game. Tyler Durning and
Goalkeeper Barry Gallagher were best for Swilly while Ballybofey were best served by Niall Mc Closkey and
Paul Kelly. Referee: George Clinton.
Gweedore Celtic 1 v 2 Drumoghill F.C.
Drumoghill laid the foundation of this away victory with a goal inside the first two minutes when Dillon Mc
Elhinney got behind the Gweedore defence to finish Lee Smith's lofted free kick. It took the home team a
long time to settle as the men from the Moss put them under pressure. Gweedore could have equalised
before the break with Padraig Gallagher failing to beat the keeper when in a good position. The second half
was an even affair with Gweedore creating a number of chances. Thomas Diver saw his chipped effort
saved by the keeper and Owen de Burca was also denied a goal when clean through. Liam O’ Donnell
extended the lead for Drumoghill with twenty minutes remaining when side footing to the net from an
Anthony Doherty cross. The home team got themselves back into contention when Thomas Diver
capitalised on a defensive mistake in the eightieth minute but despite their efforts in the last ten minutes the Celts could not fashion an equaliser. Liam Mc Fadden tried hard for the home team with Smith and
Doherty outstanding for Drumoghill.
Kerrykeel ’71 F.C. 2 v 2 Fanad United
Derby Day in Kerrykeel and what a game between the local rivals at a packed Rabs Park.
Kerrykeel started well and had Fanad pegged back into their own half with Johnny nanny and wee Mark
Friel testing Mc Conigley.
Johnny nanny won the ‘71 a penalty on 20 minutes after he was bundled over by James Gallagher in the
box. Paddy Carr stepped up to fire home. Kerrykeel finished the half the strongest and had other chances
from Darren Mc Elwaine and Seamus Friel. Marty Mc Ateer also had a free kick rattle the crossbar
The second half started with Fanad pushing hard but they never really had Kerrykeel under must pressure.
Johnny nanny thought he had the home side two up on 55 minutes but he was ruled offside.
Fanad drew level on 65 minutes when Declan O’ Donnell headed home at the back post.
Kerrykeel then lost keeper Eoin Jordan to injury when Sean Friel steeping in. Kerrykeel went back in front
on 80 minutes when a great Peter Curran ball found wee Mark Friel at the back post and his brilliant low
header flew into the bottom corner
Within 5 minutes Fanad we’re level from the stop when Kyle Mc Garvey scored from the spot
Kerrykeel will be disappointed not to win the game but overall a draw was probably the fairest result in a
great advert for soccer
Referee: Marty mc Garrigle
Best for Kerrykeel – Michael Mc Devitt Paddy Heraghty and Johnny Friel
Team effort from Fanad
Milford United 2 v 1 Cranford United
Milford came out on top in the local Derby against neighbours Cranford with a goal in each half. Milford
got a great start after 10 minutes when Conor Mc Hugh’s looping shot from 35 yards fell under the
crossbar. Cranford were excellent on the ball and tried to play all the time but failed to create any clear cut
chances in the last third. Milford were disciplined without the ball and defended as a unit for periods and
always looked dangerous on the break. Milford got their second when the excellent Mark Wilson flicked
the ball to Killian Mc Bride who’s shot was well saved but fell to Joey Cullen who rattled the back of the
net. On the 70minute mark a great through ball from Wilson to Killian Mc Bride, who beat the keeper, only
to put his shot wide of the post. Milford looked comfortable but with 15 minutes to go Cranford were
given a penalty when Lorcan Friel was punished for and off ball tackle on a Cranford player. Chris Carr
stepped up to drive the ball home and gave the visitors a life line. The game became scrappy in the final 15
minutes as Cranford pushed for an equaliser, creating a few half chances, and Milford were hitting them
on the counter attack but failed to get a third. Good team performance by Cranford and Milford had a
good team performance with Mark Wilson and Killian McBride outstanding. Referee: Seimi Ferry.
St. Catherines 5 v 1 Raphoe Town
There was little to choose between these two teams in the first half with both sides struggling to settle and
get a foothold in the game. A 50/50 ball between the Raphoe Centre forward, Mark Laird, and the home
keeper, Michael Mullen, saw both players clashing heavily and having to be replaced on thirty minutes.
The game started to open up from that moment and it took a superb individual goal from Ryan
Cunningham to open the scoring. The half time talk must have been inspirational in the home dressing
room as St. Catherines came out a different team in the second half. All the young players displayed speed
and energy and scored four unanswered goals. Goals from Odhran Mc Guinness , Shaun Kelly, a second
and the pick of the bunch after a superb team move and finish by Ryan Cunningham and last but not least
a rebound off the keeper and a nod home from Darragh Murrin and the game was well and truly settled.
Corey Gillen, for Raphoe, got a well-deserved consolation goal on 92 minute,s firing high and right past the
home keeper. Referee: Victor Rainey.

Letterkenny Rovers 6 v 0 Dunkineely Celtic
Letterkenny Rovers maintained their perfect start to their Division Two campaign as a solid display saw
them defeat Dunkineely Celtic 6-0 at the Aura Centre on Sunday afternoon. This win makes it six from six
for Rovers and the seeds were set early as they took the lead on 11 minutes when Man of the Match
Patrick Gahir found space after cutting in from the right and fired a low left foot effort past the hapless
Corey Byrne in the Dunkineely goal. The visitors almost levelled immediately with Barry Murray unlucky to
see his effort go narrowly wide of home goalkeeper Blake Forkan’s post. Rovers though had most
possession and after a couple of good chances came and went they doubled their advantage on 31
minutes when Gahir teed up Dylan Doogan and he netted from close range. The home side extended their
lead on 38 minutes when after Gahir’s shot was saved by Byrne the rebound fell to Tarlach O' Boyle and he
headed home while Rovers copper-fastened the win on the stroke of half time when Gahir as again
involved as his corner was headed home by Patrick Tobin. The second half was a tame affair with second
half subs Nathan Plumb and Darragh Morrison both going close before Morrison found the back of the net
on 71 minutes to make it 5-0. Dunkineely then won a penalty after Tobin had fouled Patrick White but
White failed to convert from the spot as he saw his effort saved by Forkan in the home goal. Leon Doherty
then hit the post with a rasping effort as the game entered the closing stages before Rovers did make it 6-0
with the last action of the game when Morrison fired home after a good advantage was played by match
referee Zach Mc Loughlin.
Whitestrand United 3 v 0 Letterbarrow Celtic
On a brisk autumn afternoon Whitestrand United faced Letterbarrow Celtic FC looking to continue
their recent good form. Whitestrand had won their previous home game with a sensational display
of scoring from Jordan Nugent. Today was marked by a similarly impressive display as he marked
another home display with a hat trick and Whitestrand secured their fourth win on the trot.
Nugent is clearly a man in form and Whitestrand will be hoping he can along with his team mates
keep this form going for the rest of the season.
