A major land, air and sea search is currently underway for a missing woman near Ballyshannon.
The woman, who is in her mid 30s, was reported missing last night in the Cashelard area.
The search began yesterday afternoon before light faded, with the Sligo-based Rescue 118 Coastguard helicopter sweeping the area until darkness.
Garda units also assisted and this morning there is a significant garda presence in the area.
Gardaí in Ballyshannon are appealing to the public to join them in their land search.
Anyone interested should come to the Breesy Centre in Cashelard.
From there, they will be instructed in their role in what will be a carefully planned search via local roads and fields. Please note the terrain you will be covering is wet and boggy in many places, so come prepared.
If you can help make sure you bring warm clothing and suitable wet gear, water-proof boots or wellingtons.
