If you’re visiting Redcastle in Inishowen this week, watch out for some spooktacular visitors.

An army of scarecrows is cropping up around the village in celebration of Halloween.

After a Halloween spent in lockdown last year, the residents of Redcastle village in Donegal came up with a unique way to instil some spooktacular fun into the occasion and families created their own scarecrows to line the main road and front gardens of the village.

With scarecrows of all shapes, sizes and varying degrees of frightfulness, the event proved a huge success, attracting plenty of sightseers and so they’re doing it again.

Scarecrows will be visible through Redcastle village from October 22nd until November 6th.
