The annual Letterkenny Halloween Fest is set to make a welcome return to the Main Street on the 29th of October.
The fest will kick off from 12.30pm on the day, with lots of exciting activities lined up for everyone to enjoy. Families will experience all the usual favourites, such as the trick or treat trail, the fancy-dress competition and the CDP House of Frightmares.
This year also sees the return of the Scary Trail of Tales by Elusive and the Halloween storytelling sessions. As an added extra, there will be a photo booth at Market Centre, to capture memories of the day for those attending.
The trick or treat trail will run from 1pm to 3pm, with local businesses providing treats for everyone. Children and their families can also register (for a small fee) to take part in the fancy-dress competition with prizes being awarded in The Courtyard Shopping Centre, at the end of the afternoon.
The President of Letterkenny Chamber, Michael Margey, said, “We’re very excited to see the return of the Halloween Fest this month. This is one event that is bringing back some normality and we encourage everyone to join in.
“Everything will be run in accordance with any safety guidance at the time, but we encourage families to come along and join in the fun. The activities will bring a much-needed buzz back to the Town Centre and give families a great, fun afternoon out.”
To round off the afternoon before the prizes are announced in the Courtyard Shopping Centre, everyone is invited to join in the Halloween parade, led by the Pinehill Studio dancers, at 4pm from McGettigan’s Hotel.
