The Family Resource Centre is often the first point of contact in your Community when you need a little help, taking the first step is often the hardest but you will be greeted with a warm welcome, treated with respect and discretion.

We provide computer and internet access, photocopying, CV preparation and weekly employment lists.

Little Smiles with Big Dreams Baby & Toddler Group
We are delighted to be starting back on Wednesday 20th October 2021 10.30 – 11.30AM.
A great way to enhance your little one’s confidence and meet others of a similar age.
Light snacks provided for the kids and a cuppa for the adults!

Community Garda Drop In
Do you need passport forms signed or stamped? Or simply looking for some information or guidance?

Free Mindful Meditation classes
Mindfulness is one strategy that can reduce the stress of everyday life.
Practicing mindfulness means paying attention to what’s happening in the moment and accepting those experiences and feelings without judgment.
Monday evenings at 6pm via Zoom. This may change to face – face as we begin to reopen our service.

Buggy Walk
Are you a new parent or have a little one at home? Would you like to meet other mums or dads?
Buggy walks on Wednesday 13th October at 10.30am here at the FRC.
Open to all parents or carers with bumps or babies in prams, buggies, slings or little ones who like to hold your hand. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
Family Support
As a parent or guardian, parenting is one of the most rewarding things you will ever do, however the Family Resource Centre recognises at times life throws up challenges and these can be overwhelming.
Some examples of the support we can offer; making routines, establishing boundaries and dealing with challenging behaviours
The Family Resource Centre can help through listening ear, parenting programmes, one to one support, and a drop in clinic to offer support on issues that are affecting home life.
We also provide sign posting or referrals to other services.

Raphoe Boxing Club
The boxers and officials of the local boxing club extend good wishes to professional boxer Jason Quigley who will box for the W.B.O. Middleweight title in Boston on November 19th in what will be a bumper occasion for Jason, his family and all his supporters.
Jason is a frequent visitor to the Raphoe club where he trains under the guidance of head coach Gary Mc Cullagh.
The Ulster Senior Novice & Open Championships will be staged in Belfast from the 19th – 22nd October and the Raphoe Club will have an entry of 6 boxers for these championships.
Food Packages
If you or your family need food, the FRC distributes food on a fortnightly basis for anyone that needs that extra bit of support.
Raphoe Walking Group
Raphoe Walking Group meets every Thursday morning at 10.30am, here in the FRC. Come along and join the group for a walk and a cuppa!
Seniors Alert Scheme
Raphoe Family Resource Centre is registered under Pobal’s Senior Alert Scheme to provide personal alarms to those over 65 years living alone for significant periods of time during the day, or is a carer to someone else in their household.
The purpose of the scheme is to enable older persons of limited means to continue to live securely in their own homes with confidence, independence and peace of mind providing them with a free personal monitored alarm which can be worn as a pendant or around their wrist like a watch.

Helping Hands Scheme
Do you live alone or are no longer in a position, due to age or disability, to carry out odd jobs?
Raphoe Family Resource Centre, supported by DLDC Tus Scheme, has a helping hands project where odd jobs can be carried out such as grass cutting, path clearing, tidy ups, painting etc.
